Section 1: Research Question

This assignment helps me shape a clear and meaningful research focus by first identifying my topic and the central question I want to investigate. In this case, my research question examines how social media impacts adolescents in the United States, particularly in terms of their developing sense of identity and the way they interact with others. After stating the question, I work through a set of reflection prompts that ask me to consider why this issue matters, what ideas I plan to explore, and whether the question is specific and researchable. By answering these prompts, I show that my topic has depth, relevance, and room for analysis, providing a strong foundation for the larger research project.
